Woman Rescued After Python Attack in Bangkok Suburb

Bangkok, Thailand – A 64-year-old woman endured a terrifying ordeal in her home outside Bangkok when a massive python attacked her while she was preparing to do the evening dishes.

The incident unfolded as the woman felt a sharp pain in her thigh and looked down to find a python, measuring between 13 and 16 feet in length, coiling itself around her torso. The snake’s powerful grip forced her to the floor of her kitchen, and it began to squeeze tightly, leaving her unable to move.

Propped up against her kitchen door, the woman cried out for help, but no one came to her aid immediately. It wasn’t until about an hour and a half later, when a neighbor happened to be walking by and heard her desperate screams, that authorities were alerted.

Emergency services responded quickly to the distress call. Rescuers managed to free the woman from the python’s grip, and she was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Fortunately, her injuries were not life-threatening, though she was understandably shaken by the experience.

This incident highlights the potential dangers of wildlife encounters in areas where human habitation overlaps with natural habitats. Pythons are known to inhabit regions in Southeast Asia, and while attacks on humans are rare, they can be extremely dangerous when they occur.

Authorities are now working to remove any remaining threat and ensure that the python is safely relocated away from residential areas to prevent further incidents.
